Grace Church Child Care Center began operation in 1972.  It is a non profit organization serving the needs of approximately 164 families.

Our Staff

Each classroom has a teacher and an assistant.  All teachers are considered to be qualified as Senior Staff under the state of Maryland's licensing regulations.  This means that they have a certain amount of college coursework, as well as experience working with children.  In addition, they are certified in CPR and First Aid and must earn a certain amount of continued training hours throughout the year.  All senior staff members are also in the process of achieving their MD Child Care Credential in order for the center to pursue accreditation.

Child/Staff Ratios & Classroom Maximums:

Based on the age group of the children and the size of the classroom, our staff/child ratios and classroom maximums are listed below: 

Infant Classroom:  1:3; maximum of 6 students

Toddler Classroom:  1:3; maximum of 6 students

2's Classroom:  1-6; maximum of 12 students

3's Classroom:  1-10; maximum of 20 students

4's Classroom:  1-10; maximum of 20 students

Preschool Classrooms:  1-10; maximum of 20 students

Our Affiliations:

 Grace Church Child Care Center is licensed by the State Department of Education's Office of Child Care.  We are actively involved with local child care agencies and are actively beginning to pursue accreditation.

Center Hours:

Though our child care and preschool programs operate on a different schedule, as well as different hours, the center is open from 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday.
